On August 2nd, we got off to a relaxed start with breakfast together at the campground in Peißenberg. Well-fed, we drove to Oberammergau, where a hike of about 10 kilometers along the Altherrenweg awaited us.
The trail was scenically beautiful and offered many stunning views. However, the summer heat really took its toll on us – it turned the hike into quite a sweaty affair. A helicopter flying over mount Kofel to fight a wildfire added an extra bit of excitement.
After the hike, we returned to Peißenberg. There, we wrapped up the eventful day with a cozy and totally awesome barbecue. What a wonderful way to end a varied summer day!
